Domestic terrorism and FBI’s irresponsibility: “a whole-of-society” threat

Boston, MA – The tragedy in Florida saddens all communities across the country. We must hold FBI Director Wray accountable. The FBI was alerted twice about the mass shooter Cruz’s proclamation of being “a professional school shooter” on social media. Yet, Director Wray was busy with faulting Special Counsel Mueller instead of combating domestic terrorism. The young lives of 17 students ended and more lives were wounded and traumatized because of his irresponsibility.

One day before the shooting Wray made a broad-brush accusation on another group of students–Chinese students “spreading throughout the United States as part of “a whole-of-society” threat. His accusation and the shooting angered the Chinese American community. Among the fallen, 15-year-old Peter Wang is a descendant of Chinese immigrants. Wong was a JROTC Cadet who was last seen, in uniform, holding doors open and thus allowing other students to flee to safety. His selfless and heroic actions led to the survival of dozens. However, Wong has deprived the chance to live up to his dream of attending West Point military academy to be of “service to our country.”

What is the real threat to our society then? The immigrants or hatred and authorities’ irresponsibility?
