In June, 2018, Helen Yang, board member of Asian Americans for Equal Rights (AAER) and board member of CALex (Chinese Americans of Lexington), held a candidate forum for five candidates in the heated State Representative race of the 15th Middlesex District, following the announcement of retirement of long-time State Representative Jay Kaufman.
